This is one of those magnificent burl wood music boxes made in Sorrento, Italy. The natural burl formations present on the music box is further improved by giving it a lacquer gloss. The lid of this Italian music box is decorated with a gorgeous rose, complete with leaves and buds. All these images are inlaid using the ancient technique of marquetry. This music box has a jewelry compartment inside it. This can be a gift for all occasions.
